recieved a REALLY suspicious email- help how can i scan/check it?

I recieved a really suspicious email all it says is " assdsad " and claims to be from a source it is not.I have avast but it let it throught to outlook express unchecked.Iy has no attachments but I want to check it out to make sure it contains no virus/worms etc as is really weird.Please help me check, i have already ran an avast scan but nothing.

i would just delete it, if it has no attachment then its fine, there only other way to get a virus from an email is be following a linkEx forum ambassador

Thanks I didnt know that.I have avast and windows firewall can anyone recommend any other security on my computer to protect it.0

avast will do fine
I would upgrade your firewall to sygate and turn the windows one off afterwards
