date of letter

in Reclaim bank & credit card charges
What date would be acceptable on the letter claiming back charges, if I am doing it today could I for instance date it back in April or would it have to be dated the 29th May.

    Today's date. What are you trying to acheive by back-dating it to April?

    You would need to put today's date. I think you can then ask to reclaim up to 6 years worth of bank charges?
