It may be because mutt is not a well-behaved pooch and also gets every ailment going, but as other posters have said I think I'd be much happier paying for someone who has been vetted and insured. There's so much that can go wrong, from your dog chewing their furniture (or vice versa), illnesses (doggy or petsitter) that are either expensive or mean the petsitter needs immediate back up, your dog going awol, that I personally need the reassurance that all this has been thought of and has a contractual contingency plan.
