Video downloads for a Sony Walkman

I'm looking for good (legal, obviously) video download sites where I can buy TV/movies etc etc compatible with a Sony Walkman (and avoid any viruses etc going on to my PC during transfer!)
Sorry if that's a bit of a simplistic question, but I've been given one as a gift and it's not something I've done before.
I also bought 4 music tracks from HMV and they won't transfer from my PC to the walkman. They are Windows Media files. I wasn't given an option of file type when I bought them and thought that HMV downloads were compatible?
Thankyou

sigh, I am really going wrong somewhere!
I've tried a free movie trailer at iloaded and although it downloads to my PC, it stops transferring to my walkman at 48%.
I've signed up to Tesco downloads and experimented with their free single and again it downloads to my PC but won't transfer across to the Walkman. I've put them (plus the HMV ones) through the Sony file transfer software software and it says they don't need converting - but still won't transfer them - they are all WMA files.
Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllp!!! All I've been able to do is add existing albums from CD but I'd like to buy some bits and bobs online!
Sony have closed their download store as of 31/3.
I bought a video from itunes and downloaded Any Video Convertor thinking I could convert and then transfer - it will only transfer images, no sound!
