Help needed...

Hi there my partner and i have decided to move in together as we have had a baby and was trying to work things out before baby was born which we have he only works 18 hrs a week and earns 70 pounds self employed which pays for his car and bits, i currently recieve IS,Tax credit, Child benifit
as i have 2 children from a previouse relationship they are 7yrs and 4yrs old my question is will my benifits stop completely and how long for i have done the entiledto which was ok and done the tax credit which said we will be entitled to tax and working tax credit i just dont want to be with out money when i have to pay the bills i.e electric and gas/ t.v lisence and so on can any one help .. or know the time scale for the benifits to be sorted out???

    You need to inform Income Support straight away otherwise you will be overpaid. Child Benefit should continue and you will need new claim for Tax credits.

    The annoying thing is no one will give you a timescale for processing. the best thing to do is ring Tax credits, be upfront and explain you are hoping your partner will be moving in soon and ask for advice. Is there any emergency provision?

    He's earning less than minimum wage, is there not better work being employed working for someone?

    he can only work between school times as i have
    Agoraphobia ( Fear of open spaces or of being in crowded, public places like markets. Fear of leaving a safe place) due to my past!
    he has to time it around my children which 1 of them finishes at 11.15am from nursery and sometimes i can't go out some days are better than others, thats why he works for him self..

    If this is diagnosed can you not claim dla also.I dont know alot about benefits but im sure i ve read on here about payments to tie you over while they sort it out,best of luck.
