Hi There,

My mate is going to the Emirates tomorrow night to see the boss, Bruce Springstein. Where can he park for free, and how far from the stadium will he be and what tube if any will he need to catch. Also he is hoping to get there early afternoon so any free parking will need to be all day not just after 6 or 7 pm. hope this makes sense.

Regards Chris

  • Watch yourself around there. The signage is misleading, some roads have residents parking only on one side, and resident's parking + pay at meter on the other side.

Having said that however, the bays are painted incorrectly and are legally unenforceable. How do I know this? Because they tried to charge me for it, until I pointed out their error at which point they cancelled the ticket.

Take note of the !!!!!!!! excuse they used, this is the bay in question, completely unenforceable:

Pew - Could you post a scan of your appeal letter?

I used to live in the area and was going to advise of where the CPZ didn't cover but no suprise the border has moved and times changed to cover the full day
  • It wasn't really an appeal letter, more of a "you can !!!! right off with your fine" letter, but I drafted it from this:

  • Most of the parking bays around the stadium, when I last went (2007), were legally unenforceable.

Struggling to get hold of any tickets at the moment, had to drop my red level membership because of work committments. So being less and less unable to go to any games for the past few months.

Quite frankly, driving to/from the Emirates is a complete nightmare and those who do try to drive to an event there probably shouldn't be allowed to be in control of a pencil sharpener, let alone a car.

    Get the tube.
