Yes, say you're looking around and comparing prices and what's the best price they'll do. Curry's do knock some money off but it could vary from store to store and salesperson to salesperson. But guessing you'll find a cheaper deal on the net anyway..:)
They'll especially do this if they think you're gonna take it on credit.
  • Hi

Have you considered the ibook from Apple. Slightly more expensive than the windows based machine but very good value for money.

I own a powerbook after being a windows user for years.
IMO better build quality, good looking and very easy to use. You will find it a more pleasant experience.

    Advantages to me
No boot up or down time, switch it on and use it almost immediately.
Surfing the web without any worries about virus, spyware etc...
No crashes or blue screen of death, very stable.
Basically the laptop is working for you and doing what you want and not the other way round.

I use the laptop like you. It has wireless connection for surfing, comes with ilife - a series of software packages - itunes, iphoto (creating photo albums and slideshows of your photos, iDVD (creating your own DVDs) garage (creating music). All very easy to use and great fun.

Also have microsoft office (about 95pounds for student and teaches edition)
word, excel, powerpoint and entourage (outlook). Compatible with the windows version.

It's ideal for my requirements. I also have a windows PC and I can transfer files from one machine to another.
