Alternative to P20 Sun lotion

Options
I have tried to search the forums but with no luck.

About a year ago I ordered some sun tan lotion after a tip from this forum.

The discussion was about P20 staining clothes and how the new formula does not do that. However it still requires putting the stuff on for a lengthy period prior to going in the sun.

At the time someone suggested an alternative that lasts for 6 hours rather than the all day of P20. I ordered 4 cans of the stuff (it was in a darkish blue smallish can rather like a stubby shaving foam can).

Sadly as I was only taking hand luggage I got the whole lot confiscated at the airport. (what I was thinking about was beyond me).

I now wnat to buy it again but for the life of me cannot track it. I thought it was bergasol, but google brings up nothing.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance

The new formula P20 only needs to be applied for 15 mins prior to going in the sun - general advice though is that ALL sun creams should be applied for at least 30 mins before going in the sun. We have used the P20 for quite a few years now - we just apply in as soon as we get up so by the time we have had breakfast & gathered our belongings for a day at the beach - it is well soaked in.

Have heard good reports of Boots own I think it is called 'Once' - have never used it myself though

Does the new formula still stain clothes?

Have used Boots and Piz Brin (used P20 for years) The Boots is very thick which I'm not so keen on but works fine. My sister loves the high factor for the kids. The Piz Brui is better as easier to apply (BOGOF in Sainsburys at present) but I find I have to use the 30 rather than the 15 to get the same result as P20 - which I still like best.

I know the stuff in blue can you mean but can't remember what it's called. Sainsburys and Waitrose both do it but pretty expensive.

Found what I was looking for

    BERGADERM

Although I bought it, I never got to use it. Any feedback from someone that has used it?

I can't seem to edit my post above.

The reason why I chose Bergaderm was that it was a mousse so easy to apply for a child. Also when I spoke to the person at the website I bought it from it was stated that it was used by his family and that they much prefer it to p20 (they would do I suppose as I was about to part with £35 for 4 bottles).

However it seems common knowledge that it is suitable for eczema and sesitive skin.

Calypso do their version of P20...its called C20.

I am just back from Spain where we used this. Basically you apply it as soon as you get up in the morning. Allow it to absorb into the skin (takes a couple of minutes) and then go and have breakfast and let it work its way in for 90 minutes...then that's it...no need to reapply all day.

They have two sizes of bottle...the small one costs £4.99 and the larger one is £8.99.

I have got it in Semi-Chem, a drugstore chain here in Scotland, but I reckon anywhere that sells Calypso products will have it.

And only one person in our party got sunburn...because they weren't applying it liberally enough :p
