Okay, this turned out to be a lip gloss I bought on ebay with no postage on the packaging.

You can give negatives without fear of retaliation these days too...

Please try to resolve it with the seller BEFORE leaving negative feedback. It could just be that the stamp fell off during transit. Most sellers will be happy to help out.

As a seller it can be very, very annoying if buyers just leave negatives without contacting the seller to put things right first.

I have tried to resolve it with the seller to the point of sending a scan of the packaging with the postage due stickers clearly shown as requested. she's not proving very helpful so far...

My 2p; Give them a week, then neg 'em! (if you don't get the refund that is!)
  • yes, with regards to stamps coming off, a new lady started at my postoffice a few weeks ago and she was rather light fingered sticking down the postage labels. Two of my parcels arrived with no postage on at all!
Luckily the people who recieved the parcels were vey understanding, but I did offer a full refund on the postage and offered to compensate them for travelling to the depot.
I went into the post office to complain and they said 'oh well, sometimes the labels do fall off!' No apology or anything!
Now I make sure they really stick the labels on firmly and don't just tickle them.

I wish my OH had thought of asking the sorting office to look at the mail before deciding whether to pay £1.15.

As he didn't and paid the £1.15 to find inside a 30p refund from a seller on ebay, who refunded us for a dvd that got lost in the post, he felt guilty that we'd been charged 30p by paypal to receive the refund, so sent 30p in the post with a 2nd class stamp on it.

Not to mention the cost of petrol on top to go back into town. Laughable now, but wasn't at the time, my OH was very mad indeed.

  • If it helps, we had to pay £1.06 for our own engagement card which a friend sent us... Postage was 6p short... I nearly went mad...

I had to pay £1.15 for one 'free' teabag as they had not put enough stamps on the packet.

i hope you complained to the company about having to pay for it and they send you something as compensation!

  • Ok, this just takes the michael...

We received a card today from Royal Mail, saying that someone underpaid something, and that we need to pay £1.01 in order to get the item, whatever it is...

How can someone underpay by ONE PENNY? and the amount of money for the card and time for the person behind the collecting desk and petrol to get to the actual Royal Mail office to get the letter costs far more than 1p...

I can't believe that someone would knowingly underpay something by 1p, but hey... never mind...
