crashing house prices faster than the last crash

the mom is 2.5% and this means that this crash is happening a lot faster than the last one. Is there anyone who still thinks we are not going in a housing crash because nationwide do. as i quote""House prices are going to crash"well here it is.enjoy
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Enjoy the fact that i and thousands of others have not fell for all the rubbish spouted that house prices only go up. i was going to pay 250k cash in august last year but did not like what i saw and believed we were due a correction and by doing this i have saved my family tens of thousands of pounds up to now and will save them a lot more by not buying for another year at least.....enjoy

If you can afford to pay £250000 cash for a place to stay I don't understand why you're so happy about others not being in that fortunate position. House prices were too high. They'll go down but they'll come up again. The only people who rejoiced in the high prices were speculators and people who wanted to trade down.

    Geoff,

Why not cut out the middle man and get a can of petrol and a match, this will put you out of your misery a lot sooner? Good for you that you saw it coming, woohoo, make yourself a medal.

Personally I couldn't give 2 hoots because it's all relative. If I sell at 20% lower than my current value, then then next house I buy, (bigger and better), will also be 20% cheaper. In fact, I'll make money. Superb.

does it matter..if it goes crash and burn..i'm sure in the future..it will rise again.
so overall the big picture..if you going to live it..it doesn't matter too much..
why don't they write that in the newspapers..because whatever the newspapers write..it motivates the action!

why am i happy about others not being able to afford? fewer people were able to buy because it had gone out of reach to the ave working family and in the next next years the fact is those people will be able to buy due to cheaper housing.I am happy that they will be able to pay far less for the homes they are going to buy...and you cannot tell me that people were not warned that the market was turning last year. so people who bought made a decision like me .they bought. i held off . I will of saved my family tens of thousands of pounds that we can spend on other things and not someones new life in spain

Grade15 ...it matters a great deal that i and thousands of others pay 220k rather than 250k over the period of a year or so for the same house..that 30k can matter a great deal if its cash coming out of your account....its simple as that..

    Geoff,

It's going to be just as out of reach for everyone.. because no one will lend them any money! look at why house prices are heading down! the issue is one of available credit, it's nothing to do with supply/demand for housing, where demand still far exceeds supply.

    You are right.
One question I have is this.
If no houses are selling anywhere how can anyone work out how much they have fallen?
If credit is so tight where are people getting the funds from to Buy?

What a miserable pile of contradictory twaddle. And another thing. When you start a new sentence after a full stop, you could try using a CAPITAL letter at the start of the first word. And another thing. Never start a sentence with the word 'and'. Doh!

I have the match....anybody got some petrol.....?

[Of course, I'm just joking. Setting people alight is not nice, and should only be attempted as a last resort]
