I printed out 2. Went to Waterstones bought 2 books so 2 receipts and went to Thornton's in Elgin. ( the same Thornton's who would not take my free coupons that came from the Good Food Show for a free 99p of chocs)Gave 1 to OH to use and we both had the receipts. The lady behind the counter read everything on the page then said 1 of our forms was a photocopy as Thortons was in black ink and not in colour. I showed her the receipts and insisted very politely that they were not. What a hassle to get free chocolate - not a very friendly encounter and doesnot show Thornton's in a good light either.
Makes you wonder why that shop is always empty of customers.
Funny that - I am in Elgin a couple of times a month and noticed that shop is always empty too!0 -
Yep had bother 2 having printed 3 vouchers of for 3 family members, winged about no reciepts? No mention in t&c, so stood my ground, they caved in!
this shop was empty too, Edinburgh Cameron toll...Dont put out freebies if you are not going to honour them, Thorntons, we also had some grief getting the free easter eggs!! Thorntons do some market research:eek: as to why your shops are empty?..:T

I've noticed the same here in Leeds too - either one person or no one in the place...but I'm of the opinion...no one in the shop...all the more for me!! LOL...but when it comes to my weekly fix of Belgian Chmpagne Truffles..no one - and I mean NO one - comes between me and the till!!!All these years since I left school and I've never once had to use Algebra0 -
Think we've done quite well, then, as we're up to our 7th bag of free choccy's!!
I did think they're going to have to start clamping down on it soon, or I'm going to be a fat minger, apart from the fact that they'll be losing a lot of money.
The pdf that I've got is a lot better than the one posted here, but I've done a search and can't find it any more on here and don't know how to post a pdf as a web page, so can't add it on. It has the full T&C's and looks a bit more official.0 -
There are two vouchers. One that required a book receipt and one that is a free trial pack. I have used both without any problems in Chorley. To get the free trial pack you have to click the top balloon as though you are entering the competition - answer on page 1 is 15 then on page 2 fill in your details and print it off.:j0
