No good unfortunately. This was posted a while ago, I tried it but the manager said I needed to take the book receipt with me as well as the voucher!

Just been to my local, had the same spiel there - i went effing bonkers - nowhere on the voucher's terms and conditions does it say you must present the receipt. Kept on and on and on and on until they handed it over. AND I actually bought the book, but from amazon!!

    Wow.

This appears to be a badly-scanned voucher from a flyer inside a book. AFAIK it's not meant to be an internet offer and you can only use the original voucher (see t&cs, no scanned vouchers).

Avoid this one methinks. I have already said this when it was posted once before.

Dodgy unauthorised scan (not by the OP who prolly didn't realise).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, it's not a scanned voucher - go to the website www.avon-books.co.uk and follow the link - you end up with the voucher that you have to print out, you can enter a Thorntons Experience competition as well.

I printed out 2. Went to Waterstones bought 2 books so 2 receipts and went to Thornton's in Elgin. ( the same Thornton's who would not take my free coupons that came from the Good Food Show for a free 99p of chocs)Gave 1 to OH to use and we both had the receipts. The lady behind the counter read everything on the page then said 1 of our forms was a photocopy as Thortons was in black ink and not in colour. I showed her the receipts and insisted very politely that they were not. What a hassle to get free chocolate - not a very friendly encounter and doesnot show Thornton's in a good light either. Makes you wonder why that shop is always empty of customers.
