Hi all,

Im hoping someone can give me some advice about a bill I have received from Eon.

I had a new meter put in at the beginning of the year. The person who put the meter in said he would inform my energy company but they didnt get told. So when it came to meter reading time for my new bill they wouldnt except my reading as it was a lot lower than my previous readings. Anyway to cut a long story short they have now excepted that I have a new meter. However when we spoke to them to advise of the date the meter was changed to zero they put the wrong date in. They put in Jan 2007 but it should have been Jan 2008. So they refunded me hundreds of pounds from bills I paid last year because they thought I hardly used any gas last year. So I have been on to them again and they have now put in the meter date change to zero from Jan 2008. They have in this bill re charged me for the amounts they cancelled from last year.

So I have had a bill and as I have been going through it I have noticed some differences from the original billing amounts. Mainly they have charged me more primary units in this new bill. For example between March 06 and Jan 07 they had originally charged me for about 1700 primary units at 3.78 and 3500 secondary units at 1.921. This new bill for the same period they have charged me 3700 primary units at 3.78 and 1500 secondary units at 1.921. This works out as them charging me an extra £35 ish. This is just one example.

I am going to ring them soon but I would like to know where I stand. These bills that I am been recharged for where done and dusted last year in my opinion. The units used are the same so can they charge me a different way or because they have refunded them and recharged them are they allowed to charge them what ever way they want. Does anyone know where I stand.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
