Ive just switched to scottish power discounted energy package, but now Im thinking should I switch to capped rate. Is it possible to switch-my gas is still in switching process? Im panicking seeing all the news headlines about massive price hikes!!

Dont think you can switch until you are with the provider, if I were you I'd give Scottish power a call and see if they can put you on the fixed price til 2011 tariff instead of discounted energy. That would probably be your best bet.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

There's a couple of people on a couple of threads reporting that when calling up for the fixed price until 2011 they are being told that deal has ended. Well I called them up in the last hour and have gone onto this deal so I don't know what's going on. Maybe it's luck of the draw who you get on the phone
