    Hi

I normally put it in some foil add black pepper, lemon juice and a small knob of butter on each piece and put it in the oven Gas mark 6 for 25 mins. We had it the other day with Ainsley Harriets mediteranian cous cous and roasted veggies(put in the oven same time as the salmon on the shelf above. It was lovely :D

I cook it in the microwave. Put the salmon in a micro-proof dish (with a lid if poss) with a little milk and water, sprinkle with fresh black pepper and mixed herbs. Put on the lid or pierced clingfilm and cook. For one portion I give three minutes, slightly shaking halfway. Sometimes I put a couple of slices of orange on top of the fish. It poaches wonderfully well and adds no calories.

    hope this helps

take a piece of foil place the salmon in the middle, squeeze of lemon, a little salt and pepper and if you have it just a splash of white wine.

Collect the foil up so the salmon is in a parcel, bake for about 25 minutes in a meduim oven, check its cooked right into the middle by putting a knife in and twisting it, the salmon should flake...... serve with some of the juices poured over the fish with salad andnew spuds cooked in their skins...... yummy...... I cook mine this way and leave it to go cold in the fridge and eat it next day with salad etc and some mayo.........

  • If you have a GF grill then they cook great on there, or even just in a griddle pan! Marinade in a little lemon juice and olive oil, season and grill! :)

  • the 2 to 3 minutes in a microwave is by far the best , easiest and quickest way.
I now do all fish like this in the microwve .. tastes so much better than messing around for ages cooking any other way.

Got some nice fresh lemon sole today .... that and some microwave cauli cheese will be ready for my tea ... in 5 minutes from now !!
  • You've just reminded me I've still got some in the freezer but I've been saving them until I can manage to get hold of either some pak choi or choi sum (Tesco's been out of stock on my last few orders  ) as there's a lovely Nigella recipe I want to try ;)

  • I put my salmon fillets on a baking sheet, sprinkle some mixed herbs over, and whack in a really hot oven for about 15 mins until just cooked. This fast cooking keeps the fish really moist inside.
  • We either put it in a foil parcel with a few herbs and dash of lemon, or just pan-fry it in olive oil. Fresh salmon is so tasty you don't need to do much to it to get a tasty meal. Lovely served with risotto and a green salad.

Try steaming it with a little sliced ginger, spring onions and drizzle of soy sauce.

CQ - would you like some pak choi and/or choi sum seeds to grow?
I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....
