Yeah, 'cos a big drop in house prices isn't remotely relevant to house buying, renting, and selling.....
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
  • Yes exactly neverdespairgirl!

Mind you this place gives advice to landlords even though it is about Consumer Revenge apparently - so we shouldn't be surprised that discussion of house prices can't take place in the section about buying houses. Oh and I don't have a particular problem with advice to LL, I'm just pointing out the double standards here.

Maybe there should be a seperate section to discuss gas and electricity prices in the Utilities section, because it upsets BG/EON/.... that people want prices to go down.

The whole point of the creation of the house prices board was that this board was becoming overrun with house price threads and it was becoming impossible to have any other discussion. Those who needed help on rental issues and buying and selling issues (other than prices) were finding their posts to be lost in the "price crash" noise.

So, yes, a drop in house prices is relevant to buying renting and selling. It's so important that it has it's own board and this thread would have been better there.

Do you mind not having a dig at me when all I am trying to do is point someone to a more appropriate board where they may receive more replies.

I am well aware of what each board is for and certainly don't need any sarcasm from anyone.

    Thank You and Good Day:mad:

Yeah and the OP really got some relevant replies so this proves my point!

The fact of the matter is there was a more appropriate channel for the post which I stated in a polite, straight to the point manner.

If I want to know about house price drops I will pop across to the house prices board:confused:, which I do about once a week or I will check out the media reports for myself.
