I do sympathise with you predicament. I've just started a new job this year after redundancy and to be truthful whilst 'hate' would be too strong a word to use I am struggling to enjoy it and finding it very hard going. However things would only be worse if I didn't have any income coming in, especially with debts. I suggest that you do all that you can to get yourself in employment first, do a budget and start tackling your debts and then perhaps look at ways of making 'extra' money. They can be great for extra income but at the moment I can't see things like Avon and ebay bringing in enough on there own for you to live on.
Even if you don't really like your new job you will be taking some of the stress off yourself by earning some money and it will give you some breathing space whilst you work out what you really want to and can afford to do in the future. I have promised myself that I will rethink my job and career once my debts are tackled, and in some ways it's the only thing keeping me going.

Hi. Please bear with me,it's late for me!
I'm facing redundancy after nearly 12 years in my job. I'm gutted as I loved my job and have made a lot of friends. However, I've decided there is life out there and ready to take on the new challenges. At least I will get a nice lump sum to pay off the majority of my debts in August. I'm planning on temping, don't know what I want to do, but fancy a change of career and actually looking forward to going out and temping for a while.
I do Avon and have done for a few years. I doesn't bring in enough for a regular income. But then I never intended it too...I just wanted an extra income but you do have to work hard at it to see a return. There is no real outlay but you do have to really persist to see any sort of income. I do Avon parties now as I get a better return than just delivering brochures but I still do both. To get a real good income, you need a lot of commitment.
Good luck.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
