Can you get Luxury hotel in London really cheap?

Need to book a room in central London (preferably near Barbican station or on circle line) for next Tuesday.

Any tips on getting a really cheap luxury room?
November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post. :D

The cheapest hotel I can see for Tues 3rd June is www.lastminute.com click on secret hotels link and £99 for the night for a 4 star hotel. Sorry, as said before you can't really get a luxury hotel in London for really cheap. A basic travelodge room comes up for not much less as this secret hotel for the date you want.

Try bidding on priceline for 5* hotels. I would suggest starting at £80 (taxes will add on about £20 I think to the winning cost) and moving up in £10 increments, having first identified the zones without 5* hotels, so that you can add these to your list in order to continue bidding without having to wait 24 hours.
