    Hi there,

We are getting married at Gretna too - we are calling it tacky chic!

Our meal afterwards is at Smiths at Gretna Green, we have eaten their a few times and love it, food is gorgeous (chef has 2 rosettes) and it is not outrageously priced.
Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:

Thankyou. We're going for the blacksmiths workshop at Gretna Hall rather than the old smithy. Are the tourists allowed in the blacksmiths workshop when the wedding is on? That's the reason I didn't book the old smithy :). My partner still thiks we are getting married at comlongon... but I thought that would be too formal with a toddler.

    Hiya Rosielx
I work in the gretna wedding industry - tourists might be in the grounds of the hotel area where you're getting married but they won't be allow near the wedding workshop while you are getting married.
Most tourists go to the smithy anyways so you might just have a few people hanging around but they wont be allowed to interfere with you at all.
Hope this puts your mind to rest
Can I ask what month your getting married?

She loves dressing up as a fairy and I want to make the day as much about her as possible. Impossible to have a formal wedding when this cheeky monkey is racing around.

I would be tempted to buy her a nice fairy outfit instead of a flower girl dress. Cheaper and it doesn't matter too much if she decides to get filthy (or maybe thats just me remembering my little fairy when she was 3 :p)

Getting married at the end of May in the bank holiday week. Have bought her a flower girls dress from debenhams but might have the fairy outfit as a spare. Good idea to go to Smiths afterwards. We are only have four guests as witnesses and a couple to spare. Can highly recommend the organisers of the weddings in gretna. Everything was organised in a couple of days stress free and decent hotel too :)
Trying to earn £2015 in 2015. Slightly early start ;). £175.88 today.
