Laptop overheating

Hello, I'm new here... I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ11M and lately its overheating a lot, and literally burning my fingers. Could anyone tell me what to do to cool it down instead of spending money on a new fan. If nothing is possible to do, i'd also like to know where i could go to get this problem sorted Regards Diogo

I had the problem of a very hot laptop and it was a Medion...I returned it back to them after a lot of hassel.

Wot I now do is I take the battery out when I am using the laptop at home. I just plug it in without the battery...
