Logis de France Website

I have booked a night in a hotel with Logis de France. I think!

I requested availability through the website, a week later got a link to process the reservation, and had an email saying it is now booked and I have to turn up before 8pm on that day.

But I'm a bit worried as they have taken no deposit, and only have my address.

Can I be sure this is a bona fide booking? I don't want to have to spend the last night of our holiday in Beauvais airport.....

I've never had the slightest problem with similar bookings - though 8pm sounds a little late. It's usually 6pm.

I would phone hotel if your french is up to it.
Logis accepted a booking and confirmed it for me last year. When we turned up at 6pm the place was shut. Trouble, it was a Monday. A lot of places shut on a monday - totally! No food, no bed. Local farmer stopped, as we hammered on the door, to explain.
Ended up in really nice bistro, great food, ancient plumbing, huge bed. Good fun, but Logis took ages to sort it out, and basically said they are only booking agents, it was up to us to make sure of "local arrangements"

Good idea - I'll do that.

I would say my French is okay...but last year I phoned ahead and booked a table at a restaurant. got there and found the same as you - completely shut, no notices saying it closed (this was a Wednesday I think). So my French is maybe not that brilliant!

    Thanks for your replies
