European Driving - Named Driver

Evening all,
I'm taking my car to France for 2 weeks soon and whilst I, as policy holder, am insured fully comp, it doesn't mention anything about other named drivers on the policy.
Quote from policy docs:
"Cover also includes 60 days comprehensive cover within the EU."
Has anyone any knowledge/experience if named drivers are generally included in EU cover, or indeed, if they are not?
Cheers

Yes, named drivers are given the same cover as the policyholder on foreign use unless the policy states otherwise.0

thanks..there don't appear to be any clauses stating otherwise.0

Refer to my post on CAG in response to this.0

yep seen it thanks.... as per CAG (i continue to post in both as get different points of view!)
another query:
my policy insures me to drive any other car on a 3rd party basis. There is no stipulation that this has to be in UK. Do you think I am correct in assuming I have minimum cover driving another car in France?

I think you would be better phoning your insurers than asking some (allbeit well meaning) strangers on a web forum."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I am fairly certain that your policy will actually stipulate somewhere that the driving other cars extension only applies in the UK and the Channel Isles. It would be very unusual for it to apply abroad.0

I believe that if a car (French reg) has insurance you may drive it. I understand that continental insurance is on the vehicle rather than the driver/vehicle as in UKThis is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0
