Pania, please understand we need good people like yourself, but this does'nt alter the fact there are far too many advisers, and this has been so I think since 2004.
yes, and an awful lot are being made redundant. there are at the moment approximately 18-20 applications for each job advertised in my area. I do feel for those people applying that are in the same predicament but like you conrad, I'm hope that those worthy of the jobs are the ones selected.
My hope is the good advisers remain and the less thorough, less thinking, more sloppy advisers are culled.
Normally any prune should weed out the dead wood, not the healthy strong branches.
Unless you're the only strong branch in a currently unprofitable area dealing with purely newbuild...:o
An example of the sort of sloppiness that currently pervades the industry can be seen on another thread here where someone claiming to be an adviser recommends Preferred mortgages or Mortgages Plc as good options to try!!!!!!!!
Those to lenders no longer lend!
Do they not????;)
(Kidding!!!)
TCF is supposed to ensure advisers have sufficient knowledge to disharge thier duty in a manner clients expect.
Yep agreed on that one. I think also that lenders aren't doing brokers any favours right now by undercutting the deals that they offer to brokers if the client goes direct. I know that there is a lot of focus on this at the moment and what can be done to rectify the divide.
I've actually just been offered a sself employed position retraining into FS rather than mortgage advice... Lots to think about...debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Conrad, thanks for your post.
When I say love, I love being self employed! I hate paperwork, I am not bad at it! I like dealing with people also! However I would love to work in a zoo! lol
