Sending / receiving gifts abroad

I wondered if anyone can recommend an online company that delivers to portugal.

It's my mum's 50th while she's on holiday and I wanted to send her something.

Any ideas (flowers would be a last resort as she flys home the next day). I've already gone halves with my brother for a digital picture frame but she knows about that. I just wanted something to arrive on her actual birthday.

Has anyone ever sent or received anything abroad (especially Portugal)? What was the quality of whatever it was ?

Can't you give her or someone travelling with her a surprise present to take with her to open whilst she's away?

Where is she staying - if its a hotel could you arrange something via them? (chocolates/bubbly etc?)

I won't be seeing them before they go (monday) and he's not great at surprises (he's already let slip about the picture frame).

It's a self catering apartment so I don't think I could arrange through anyone there.
