Conran card - anyone got one

My girlfriend wants to get her first CC. She's not bothered about stoozing, interest free periods etc and will pay off her balance each month. She doesn't want the hassle of the card not being accepted in some places (So this rules out Amex), she wont be spending a great deal on the card, up to 4k a year. So, from Martin's article the Conran card seems the best option to earn some cash back.
The only thing that puts me off, is on the Conran website I can't find anything about the guaranteed 0.8% cash back, which Martin mentions.
Has anyone got one of these cards?
Thanks in advance for any assistance

Hello,,
I don't know about the Conran Card but if you go to
Scottish Widows you can choose how much cashback you get balanced against the interest charge (ie more int charged =more cashback). Great for clearing balances each month. And you get £12.50 from Greasy Palm for joining. And if you contact me and I reccommend you, I get £3.50.
You fill in the type of card you want when you apply.
Best of luck !0 -

@EKokay
I went for the Scottish Widows credit card via the GreasyPalm link. I have never received a penny from Greasy Palm despite having been a 'member' since August.
Scottish Widows want to see my last three bank statements. Is this a reasonable thing to ask given privacy laws and the existance of credit reference agencies that they are meant to use ?

Yes Ive been on here as stated in my original post, I can't find anything about the minimum 0.8% cashback.0 -
From the Conran card website:
"The Conran Card, the first card to give you a share of all its profits**
Earn five shares of the Card's profits for every £100 spent at Conran and one share of the Card's profits for every £100 spent elsewhere †"
Doesn't look like a guaranteed cashback amount, just a share of the profits. I guess the 0.8% figure was based on previous payouts, or Martin's calculations of how much profit they'd be taking on each transaction. I'd imagine you'd get more than the normal 0.5%, as the companies doing 0.5% back won't be making a loss, but looks like you'll have to use the card for a bit to find out.0
