Capped Confusion
Im looking for a capped deal but its going to be quite a hike
as an example - im paying 10.54 & 5.95 for electric but the nearest capped is
18.9 & 11.38 so its almost got to double to make me pay the same as the capped
gas is about the same.
My parents are in the same boat with another supplier & we have been looking to cap for over a month
crazy

i am with npower duel fuel .they have capped prices without a rise in the rates until april 09 for existing customers. also offer capped until 2011 for 7% increase in rates but i didn't want to risk that one.0

When considering this also remember that a price rise is expected during the summer. Also remember that many of the fixed/capped rates do not have tiw in periods or penalty clauses so if prices come down you are still free to move.
ALWAYS check/ask for penalty clauses

I looked at Npower 2011 but the price per kwh or whatever it is was roughly 9p where I am only paying 4p at the moment!! So my gas bills would be doubled!! I have jumped on the eon price promise as it will only cost me about £20 a year more thankfully. Our dream has come true...

That 9p & 4p is only for the first units you use each year(called tier 1 or primary units) the rest(tier 2 or secondary units) will be much cheaper; and for most people the price of the secondary units is the more important factor.
OR
You could go to Ebico and pay 2.86p(including VAT) for ALL units.0 -
For the first 1000 units or so it is a high rate then it goes down yes.
I have worked it all out. Its too expensive in our area. Our dream has come true...
