You probably won't be able to complain, they've given you adequate warning of the change.
Littlewoods, the parent compnay already advertise their DD APR and Non DD APR quite obviously.
Catalogues have notoriously high APR's, unfortunately.
Could you switch to DD to save a bit of money? even in the short term?£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450 -
They do make their terms, conditions and rates very clear...
I would suggest that your daughter (and you) learn a lesson from this, and perhaps do a course on money management, and instead of buying things on credit, saving up for them.
If she's only paying off £24.40 a month, then in the 3 YEARS it'll take her to pay back, she could have saved the money, and had £1600 to spend with no credit required.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Yep, and that's pretty shocking stuff indeed!
OP- you can get these figures by playing with the online calculator at http://www.whatsthecost.com/loan.aspx
Also, I'm not sure if you're a regular there already but the Debt Free Wannabe board on this forum is brilliant. There's tons of people over there with great advice to give on cutting back and tackling problem debts; they really helped me when I had problems.DFW Nerd 0350 -

Ok. Well my advice would be to pay off as quickly as possible and/or transfer to a lower rate. Every extra pound paid per month will save you more in the long run.
I've read that some people have had success with lowering credit card rates by sending letters after an unexpected increase but whether this applies to catalogues I don't know!Do Something Amazing - Give Blood0 -

What is your credit history like?
I'm sure some real experts would be able to help you if this was moved out of Consumer Vents to somewhere like Debt Free Wannabe. You could private message a board guide to move itDo Something Amazing - Give Blood0
