Need to change but head spinning with info!!
I am with E-on at the moment and am sure I can get my gas and electricity cheaper but I dont feel the comparison sites give me enough information - they say I can save £x but don't actually give me their costs!!
Also, some bloke for Southern Electricity caught me in my front garden the other day and tried to tell me they were the cheapest but after trying to make him leave me alone for a while he said that actually there wasn't much difference in prices at the moment but I should change to them because they are British!
He also said the 'rumour' that prices will rise up to 50% by the end of the year was a rumour started by British Gas to make people sign contracts for 1 or 2 years at a fixed/capped price!
My head is spinning - is there anywhere I can find out what each company charges for x amount of electricity/gas unit etc?

Thank you in anticipation of some great advice :T

The comparison sites that I have used do give the actual tariffs used to arrive at their annual cost figure. Try looking a bit harder or try here. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Well, obviously I'm not as smart as you and thought they just named the tariffs - didn't realise you had to click on every one to find the costs! Having extremely limited time I was hoping there would be somewhere that listed all costs making it easier to compare!
But thanks for using your valuable time to help me!!
See - I can do sarcastic too - I must be smart after all!!!0 -
Always makes me laugh when people say the comparison sites dont list the unit rates etc. and its always a case of the person not being bothered to look properly.
Why would you do something like this when you had extremely limited time?
Did you really expect the sites are allowed to switch you over without making the unit rates available?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
