What do I do with 300 child car seat covers?
Options
Hello everyone,
I have been landed with approx 300 child car seat covers (Britax Hi-Liner) and I would like to give them to charity, either for recycling (as bedding maybe?) or for them to sell.
Can anyone tell me if there are any charities who will come and take them away? I live in Somerset (near Bristol). They're brand new and sealed in packs of 12 or 15.
TIA

Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!

It is hard to think of a charity which could use something so specialised and in large quantity.
If you were prepared to put a little time into it, you could eBay the items as job lots. If you use eBay for Charity, it could benefit any one of many charities registered with eBay for Charity.0 -
Maybe try ringing local animal rescues as they would probably be ideal size for temporary animal beds?

InKind Direct might be able to take them off your hands, usefully.
Alternatively there's the ScrapStore, from where they could probably be turned into all sorts of fun things!
I do not know if either will collect, may depend on distances etc, but ScrapStore is probably the better bet for that.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Personally I would try the Ebay route , I have a couple of these Hi-Liner seats and have bought covers in the past for them and having kids I know just how mucky these seat covers get ! being able to buy new covers for them is a god send as opposed to paying out for a new seat . I would say something along the lines of £10 plus p&p . Good luck with whatever you decide to do .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will try InKind and Children's Scrapstore.
I've tried eBay, but I would prefer to give them all away to a good cause to free up some storage space.
Thanks again for everyone's kind help and advice.
