Replace Dormer Loft window - DIY or not?

Hi,

I've got a lovely loft conversion in a victorian terrace. The conversion was a 'proper' job done, possibly as early as the 80s.

It's now been done up, plastered over artex ceiling, walls stripped and painted.

Now the Dormer loft window is double glazed but the hinges / closings have always let the draughts in. It is about 6 foot by 3 foot. The metal frame seems to be simply screwed into the hardwood and then blocked in by strips of wood.

Would it be easy for me, a diy novice to remove and replace it?
Where would I find a source for the replacement? Searches on the internet have not been successful.

I would appreciate some advice.

Cheers,

Steve
