Existing Customer Offers on Morgan Stanley /MBNA

Hi,

Has anyone been offered any decent Balance Transfer deals when they've rung and requested them, by either MOrgan Stanley or any of the MBNA stable of card ( MBNA A+L Abbey Virgin)?

I would look through whole existing customers thread, but i can't face it!! :-)

  • Morgan Stanley are offering a balance transfer rate of 1.9%p.a. for a 5 month term with a 2% balance transfer fee capped at £35, via the 'transfer a balance' option available from the online account management service.

They are offering me a similar deal except my rate is a very poor 3.9%.

Alliance & Leicester rang me up with 3.9% (mbna backed) for the money back credit card a while back. I told them where to stick it seeing as I had a card on 0%. I'll phone them up again and see if I can get a better offer.

I regularly get 1.9% from MBNA for 6 months. Even if I have recently had one, AND £11.500 credit limit:D

Halifax also offered me a life of the balance transfer for 4.9% which is cheaper than a loan..

My OH had a Morgan Stanley card which I paid off and asked him to close (to apply for another 0% card). When he called to close the account they asked him what he was looking for and he got 0% on bt's and purchases for 6 months...I think the card is Buy & Fly or something.

I just BT'd to a Morgan Stanley Gold card, existing customer with a 0 balance. Paid 2% balance transfer fee but got 6 months 0%.
