Hi gang,
I basically want to reinstall windows, I have hard drive partitioned in two, is it possible to uses Windows back up to back up all my files to the second partition so when I reinstall Windows to the first partition I can restore everything from the windows backup file on the second partition.
I think that makes sense!

Yes, there's a File And Settings Transfer Wizard to do this:
To open the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.
It does take a fair while to do, though.0 -
Why not just manually copy all of your files across to the 2nd partition and keep them there. I always seperate my work/movies/music from my Windows partition. Just make sure you don't forget anything!"Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
