Having trouble obtaining bank charges info

Hello fellow money savers
Two weeks ago I sent away letters asking for info on bank charges for two accounts. I enclosed a £10.00 cheque for each letter.
A week later one of the cheques was returned saying that the customers name and address was not included on the cheque. Unfortunately I did not take a note of which cheque went with which letter so I don't know which account that cheque would have been used to obtain the bank charges info from.
Today I received a letter from the bank (the account number was quoted) saying that I needed to send a cheque for £10.00. But I know I sent a cheque with my original request! I can only assume that they have lost it and I am unwilling to send them another cheque since they still have one of the original ones which they still have not cashed.
I dont' know what to do now and any advice would be greatly appreciated. i thought that I could cancel the one cheque they still have. Also I know when the bank charges were taken off and how much was taken off although I no longer have the documentation informing me of this. A charge of £28.00 was applied to one account in July 2004. A charge of £35.00 was applied in November/December 2004 to another account. Since I already know this I'm thinking now that I should just go ahead and reclaim.
Any advice greatly welcomed

i rang my bank for all my statements and they siad i could orger them over the phone. sending it off costs 10 pounds but over the phone is 5 pound and you get them with in a week. so it is better to cancel both cheques and request them over the phone and they take it out of your account.0
