I am just in the process of buying a car, I am 19 years old and have a provisional license, i will be the registered owner of the car and am looking for any ideas of places that do cheaper insurance, I have managed to find 2 provisional insurers cheaper than others: quinn direct and bell direct. are there any others anyone knows of?
I know insurance is expensive for younger drivers and especially provisionals but after paying quite a lot for a car any saving on insurance is great!
any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

you need to also compare the price once you have passed your test, quinn doubled a friends insurance once he had passed!
Follow Martin's guide to the letter. I found the cheapest from Directline.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. have you tried including a driver with a full licence..... ie cos you will need someone like that tobe able to actually go out in your car until you have passed your test`smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

I got my daughters insurance last year for £730 and I got £100 cashback from quidco for going through prudential- she was 17 years old then and had just passed her test - Peugeot 106 (1997) third party fire and theft. I thought this price was very good - I was expecting to pay about £1500. I always go through quidco for my insurance as it just makes it that bit cheaper...0
