Using call18185 but BT charging for 0845/70

Hi

I use the orchard dialler to connect call18185 using a bt line.

I noticed that bt have charged me for all 0870 and 0845 numbers in the last quarter.

I contacted call18185 and they say it could be bt blocking their access code.

Has anyone else suffered this problem?

BT does not (and is not allowed to) block such codes.

It sounds like your Orchid program is the cause of such calls going out on BT ('the Heinz program' sends weekday daytime 0845 and weekday evening 0870 calls out on BT - because BT is cheapest at those times).

I try to keep up with who's cheapest but, at the moment, that certainly appears to be the case (see HERE).

If there,s one 0845 number you ring a lot you can nominate it as your best friend on BT Friends and Family and get a 20% discount.
