I find I can cut it into 6 thick chunks and freeze it in recycled pieces of parchment popped in a recycled bread bag.

Well, just got back from Asda - hubby has now certified me as completly mad as we now have 42 pints of milk in the freezer!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Couldn't resist, I just had to buy another 4 x 6 F/F pints while still on special, then watered down 1/3rd to get another 2 x 6 pints, plus 1 already in there... I've told him there is going to be a milk shortage and the rest of the world just hasn't cottonned on to it yet...:D (not working, he just keeps giving me funny looks...you'd think he'd know me after 28 years eh!)

Also, got some free fresh yeast :j . first time I've asked and they're really great about it so after a bit of a disaster with some rolls this morning, maybe they'll be a little better now...

Thanks Mandy_Moo, I know what you mean and the reality is, neither can we - it's coming out of money that we could use to pay off stuff.

since doing the challenge last month I've only had about 5 in total which really is amazing for us as we used to have soooo many (depression and debt has a lot to answer for!), now I'm much more positive and stick to my guns when rest of family ask - I've already told them we're having HM from now on (another thing they think i've gone mad with as I really didn't cook before coming on here - always too busy and working too much - ohh, where have I heard that before :D )

Really can't believe how much I've changed - still really busy - work 6 hrs a day and then try to build a business in my spare time AND run the house, but enjoy being in the kitchen so much now that I just work around it - isn't it amazing how you just find time when you need to  ?

Off to update siggy - £26.05 - have checked and nothing to buy now until next weekend so should just make target as only about £10 left... Ohhh, looking close.....:p

Ohhh, by the way IOIWE - made the weetabix cake but not sure if I did something wrong as it took ages to cook right through (had to put it on for another 45 mins after initial cook as still soft inside) and came out a bit doughy (didn't care thought, still yummy!) Any ideas???

Thanks guys, I always use my measuring jug, which has cup sizes marked on it. Think it was just a bad cooking day today as rolls didn't rise either (blame it on the weather being cold, got to blame someone eh, can't blame myself...:D ) Not to worry, always tomorrow... - going to make some twinks now as off to see my neice in a little play (she's 8 yrs old) - take her some nice twinks as a pressie x
