Hi, looking for some advice... have been 2nd driver on mums car for the past 7 years, with no fault claims between us. Due to a change in work situation, I will need to drive the car more, but to be first driver I would have 0 NCD. Anybody know of any ways to get a reasonable price given that Im 24, driving for 7 years, no fault claims, and not sure I should pay thousands of pounds? Any ideas or pointers towards companies specialising in this would help a lot! Cheers folk. NB, what would happen to the 7 years NCD on that car if I became first driver???

I have read on here that some co's *might* be willing to give you some introductory NCD if your Mum's current insurer can provide evidence that you have 7 years claim free. Sorry I have no idea who and it could be a myth for all I know
Its worth asking.
If you swap around with your Mum and become the main driver she keeps her NCD but that can only be dormant for 2-3 years (depending on the co she next insures with) if she doesn't want to lose it she must apply it to another policy.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
