Bogus company

I signed up with a company to reclaim my bank charges. I paid an admin fee of £15.00. My bank offered £450.00 which i turned down on their advice.

In the interim, the claims process was suspended. Since the suspension, this company seems to have folded and all the telephone numbers are invalid and emails bounce back.

Where do I now stand? If the charges are reinstated can I now contact my bank myself as I was told by this company that they had 'exclusive' right to deal with my bank on my behalf? If i do contact the bank concerning this do I automatically invalidate my claim?

Thanks in advance
