Canon inks

I have a Canon IP4500 printer which is very good but the inks are a fortune. I understand you can get various imitations but they vary in price and quality. My Epson C-62 clogged up and became unusable due to cheap inks. Is there a very good producer of budget inks for the Canon anyone knows about?

I have been buying cartridges for my Canon printer from this company for several years now and have never had any problems with the ink or quality, they are new cartridges not refills and are fully guaranteed, usually next day and free delivery.

The problem with the Canon cartridges is the chip on the cartridge has been encrypted so no one has managed to come up with a true compatible for it, however have a look at http://www.stinkyinkshop.co.uk/acatalog/Canon_Pixma_IP4500.html
where they offer a print head adaptor and pack of compatibles and they work fine0 -
The old epsons clogged up if they weren't used often -they used durabrite inks like custard, but very prone to clogging. Not likely due to cheap inks.
The cli-8 carts are easy to refill. They have a hole in the top which was used to fill them and it is sealed by a plastic ball. You can see this under the paper label.
You can dig this ball out using sharp knife/stanley blade - carefull- and refill , but while the ball is out ink will leak out of bottom unless you plug it or cover with finger. Press the ball back in when done.
I have the ip5300 and have been refilling for nearly a year now. I don't think you can get the black pigment ink but I have just used the dye ink. The other cartridge -pgi-5bk?-refills just as easy.0 -
I understand you can remove the chip and use it in the new substitute ink.0

Guys c'mon, if you do a lot of printing, just ebay (cis, ciss) IP4500 and for under £30 you get the refillable system and the ink cost £4 per 100mlGOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.
