I have recently tried to connect a laptop to our home wireless network. The laptop accessed the internet via the wireless network fine. Howeverthe problem arose when I decided to setup a workgroup, to allow printer/file sharing. The laptop is also used in a local school, and was configured for a domain there. I had to delete the current domain and setup a workgroup. However, when I restarted the laptop, I can't get passed the password screen. It won't accept the password I just used.
I am not sure of the administrator password, and could not get in via safe mode.
Thanks for any desperately needed help.

When it was on the domain it was asking for the password for domain\username. Now that you've removed it from the domain that username doesn't exist. You'll need to find the administrator password to log in and then create a user acount on the local machine for the original username.
Worth leaving the password box blank for the administrator account. Quite often PCs will be build and the logged onto the domain using the domain admin account without setting a password for the local PC admin account0
