Converting DVD to other formats for presentations/website

The charity I work for has a DVD that we produced. Would like to be able to use clips from it in a Powerpoint presentation. Would be easiest if it could be incorporated directly into the Powerpoint slideshow. Any suggestions of the easiest way of doing this, including any (ideally free) software to help? I tried something called EM DVD copy, but it only seemed to convert the audio track. I need to include audio, video and subtitles.
Ideally we would like to be able to include some of this on our website too. So any tips on doing that would be much appreciated.

would be best to get them in avi or wmv so you can put them straight into the presentation, you would also be able to stick them onto the net in this format also.
there is a nice guide here:

ah sorry, missed the bit about the subtitles. They will be encoded into the dvd seperatly. I haven't dealt with subtitles myself, but this could work:

Save yourself a lot hassle and use FairUse Wizard to convert to AVI, MP4 or DIVX whichever you fancy. One pf the best free tools out there:
