JSA keeping us afloat

Three months ago i was made redundant and have been claiming JSA, I had hoped to have a job by now but unfortunately not. I realise the allowance I'm on is only for six months and I'm beginning to panic, I have tried many avenues to find employment but so far no good. Point is the JSA is just enough to keep us afloat, without that we would be getting into debt. Husband is employed has a basic wage of £350 before stoppages, there's no children left at home, is there going to be any more financial help I can claim if I haven't got a job by the time the JSA stops. We can't spend any less, too many commitments, these were pared as close to the bone as possible when I first became redundant.

Hi tizzzzy,
Is your husband's income £350 per week? If so, you will not qualify for any further help once your cont based JSA has finished.
Looks like you are pretty good with your moneysaving anyway, but if you haven't already been over there, the Debt Free Wanabee board is v helpful.
Hope you get something sorted soon xGone ... or have I?0
