Savings accounts???

i need a savings account with unlimited withdrawals and contributions, that i can put in joint names. any ideas? All i seem to find is bloody ISA's!

You are right, finding one with no fees/restrictions, allows joint account and decent rate is tricky.
A quick check with http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/searches/savings.aspx for savings accounts finds
Internet access only
Northern Rock e-saver 6.00% AER (obviously needs a linked current account for transfers/withdrawals)
With Branch access
Chelsea Rainy Day Savings Issue 3 6.10%AER, no fee for first £1K withdrawn in first 12 months (> £1K in 12 months £10 each time ) (no fees after 12 months)
Chelsea may not be good enough is you plan to withdraw > £1K in first year.0 -
