Best savings account for my 16 year old daughter....

My 16 year old daughter has held a childs savings account with the Halifax for many years. Now that she is 16 she can no longer have a childs account and needs to transfer her savings of £1750.
Can anyone recommend the best savings account for her? Many only seem to apply to over 18's.
Thanks

Nationwide Smart Account for kids under 18. Least thats another year or so before she is 18.

Nationwide actually let you keep this until you are 18 and 6 months. This gives you time to move to a higher provider. However it only pays 5.27%.

An ISA is probably her best option as most high interest savings accounts are for over 18s only. National Counties do an ISA paying 6.26% AER - but it is being withdrawn to new customers tomorrow so best get on phone to them before they close tonight! (They are very friendly and helpful on the phone)
