boiler tripping the electric

Assuming it's not something simple like the cat's mauled a cable, do i call upon the services of a boiler bloke or an electrician? Is there anything simple (apart from a singed cat) i can check that won't result in me setting the house on fire and then subsequently flooding it? It's an oil fired combi boiler the name of which escapes me at the moment.

best call a boiler repair service chap, as he'd replace the bit(s) causing the trip - probably a motor or similar....0

One has been called, well technically 2 have been called, the first called out last night had a look and reckoned it was either a faulty diverter valve (there was a bit of a leak) and/or a faulty pressure switch (attached to the diverter valve) unfortunately he doesn't work on our boiler (grant combi 90) and left without charging. I await the visit from the second boiler person who apparently is the expert and will no doubt charge like one :eek:0
