Natwest -advantage gold

Until recently i worked for natwest a a customer advisor selling this 'fab product' and i can say that if you use none of the benefits then the only person gaining anything is the advisor who sold it who gets points towards their weekly target. I left because i didn't enjoy forcing products on to people that they either didn't want or need. If you want to downgrade send a letter to your branch or go in and they will try to guilt you into keeping it.
If you can use the benefits of the account such as all the insurances it isn't a bad account as you do save a fair amount. If you get forced into ad gold and don't want it you can downgrade within 3 months and get all your money back. You won't lose your overdraft if you downgrade, but you will need to continue with the good progress of keeping you're account within its limit.
If they make downgrading an issue make a complaint!Debt to clear: feels endless...
Weight loss to go: 42lb/13.5lb
Maybe someday i'll be skinny, organised and debt free..

just another natwest quickie!! if you manage to downgrade the account from advantage gold, do you have to get new debit cards or do you carry on using the same ones, ie is it still the same account? I've called natwest and they say they cannot downgrade over the phone and I would have to be in the uk to get new debit card sent, any ideas?0

I have been in to my local branch and was told that they couldnt do it as i needed to sit down and have a meeting with an advisor to do this.
This means travelling to my next town, costing me money on the bus, just to stop it!!
Its a joke!
When I worked there and got it for free, it was great, free holiday and mobile insurance, but now that I have left I am not paying £12 a month for it.0 -
