Vaillant combi boiler repair

I have a vaillant turbomax combi boiler that doesnt provide hot water on demand. It requires the heating to be on for the water to be hot and when the heating goes off the water becomes cold. My uncle (who is a plumber) advised that it needed a new diaphram. This was over 4 years ago he advised this and i have become fed up waiting for him to fix it.
I have had a further 3 plumbers to look at it, they have advised they would send a quote but none of them have ever been back in contact. I am awaiting a local plumber to come and look at this week and was wondering if anyone could provide a guestimate of how much this would cost to repair
