I think that you’ve had all the good advice you are going to get from this thread, it seems to me that Cpt. M is getting some kind of kick out of your misfortune and taking delight in telling you how bad things are going to get for you. He doesn’t know that PS are going to offer you 70% of the value of your flat anymore than he knows that the sky is falling in or that you are going to end up having to work down a mine. So I think that this would be a good time for you to back out of this thread, by all means come back in a couple of weeks and tell us all how you got on but at the moment you are getting no joy and an awful lot of stress from it.
Best of luck.
Is the advice that I have given far away from the mark then? All the OP did to start with was moan about it being everyone elses fault which is inclined not to get the best out of people.
Just one second, the OP implied that they were guaranteed to get 128K then dropped in the little bombshell later - let's be honest even when the market was bubbling, p'ex deals were rarely any good.
I get no kicks out of the situation but since the OP doesn't take it seriously then you cannot expect anyone else to.
The OP hasn't grasped the seriousness of the situation, and that Persimmon could potentially bankrupt them.
The OP needs to get the story 100% straight and get to a good lawyer as quick as possible.0 -

You've oscillated between gloating and patronising with small stops at pomposity on the way. You've offered nothing of use or substance. If you feel no compassion for the OP then that's fair enough but to continue to gloat over someone who has made such a potentially damaging mistake says more about you than his mistake ever could about him.0 -

Rubbish, the OP has been given good advice, which is more than you have done.0 -
Well, someone came to see my flat today thankfully.
What makes it even more promising is that the people thought the flat was still for sale at £132k. They were pleasantly surprised when I told them the price had been reduced to £124,950.
"When are you looking to move out?" they asked.
