Best language to write child's number game

Hi,

I'm looking to write a very simple program for a class of kids.

Its a basic maths program that needs to display big, colourful sums that can be completed by the kid and a tick or cross displayed.

ie. 12 + 5 =
23- 2 =

The numbers are too small on the program we use at the moment, I and want to write it myself for a project.

Whats the best language to write it in? (Needs to work from windows xp/nt)

Thanks

If you have MS Office, you could always use VBA. In Excel, press ALT-F11 to bring up the VBA editor. It's very easy to program (compared to, say Java or C++) and seems to me to be a bit like a combination of BASIC and Pascal.
  • You could write it in Javascript and HTML (with a large colourful font and some images for the tick and cross) and run it in a web browser. No need for fancy programming languages and no issues with deploying it. Google for 'simple javascript calculator' to give you ideas and increase the text size in Internet Explorer.
