I'm thinking of doing a stew/casserole type thing for Wednesday night's tea. This will involve making it tomorrow night and Slow Cooking it while I'm at work Wed. I plan to use the following "recipe":-
1. Pork (cheap in Tesco today - was going to be lamb but ran out!)
2. Seasonal vegetables (can't remember what was in the pack, but there was a fair bit)
3. Water
4. "Stock" (granules)
5. The other half of the pepper I used in the curry that will cook tomorrow
6. Probably some onion chopped up as I have loads left
7. Anything else in the fridge that looks as if it might be about to turn
This will form Wednesday's tea. Am I right in thinking that if there's any leftover (sure to be) then I can just stick this in the blender and it would be "soup"? Because I don't fancy stew for my tea then stew for my dinner the next day, but if I had stew for my tea then soup for my lunch, it would feel as if I was eating something different, IYSWIM. Probably will add a few more things for when it's soup, but the principle would be the same.
Any comments or suggestions for a complete novice who I'm sure is trying everyone's patience?

If it were me, I'd take out the meat, and blend the juices and vegetables for soup.I'd make any remaining meat into sandwiches or curry, as I don't like really meaty soup.

You might need to use stock to loosen it up a bit into a soup depending how solid it is. Personally I think if you're not going HM for stock, bouillon is worth paying the extra little bit for ...0

my mum always has "stew soup" the day after a casarole. she would serve up all the big lumps of meat and along with some of the rest of liquid and serve with potatoes and the next day she serves up the remaining veg and liquid with bread as soup.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
